  1. Hi Cynthia, Peter here . . . this photograph could so easily have been taken at a place called Kommetjie in the Greater Cape Town area. Kommetjie (comma – key) is situated on the Atlantic seaboard of the Cape Peninsula which comprises a large part of Greater Cape Town, to wit – the Southern part of Cape Town. It is a place of rugged beauty and wind-lashed beach, dunes and inter-tidal wetlands which form a haven for thousands of water birds from greater flamingos down to cormorants and various kingfisher species. It’s amazing to see how similar far flung places can be. Thanks for sharing your special photograph with us in cyberspace. Not to mention your poem. Which I rated as “good” . . . I enjoyed its simplistic imagery and tidal flow. Thanks again. PeterG.

I'm happy to hear from you! Tell me what you think.
